Helping Hands 

Hi - I'm Francesca! I'm 20 years old and am currently enrolled at Mercy College here at the Dobbs Ferry campus, starting this fall in a Behavioral Psychology/Early Childhood Education (Grades 1-6) combined Undergraduate/Graduate teaching program. I have six years of experience serving as a family nanny for several families here in the New York City area. From 2017 to 2022, I worked for a family in Riverdale with two daughters, starting when they were 6 and 8, first as a babysitter, then after school care - bringing them to sports lessons, play dates, Girl Scouts, and Hebrew School. During summers I served as the full time nanny, as well as during COVID when they needed assistance while attending school from home. In 2021, I left to attend the Institute for Culinary Education in Pasadena, CA, for food management and Culinary/Pastry Arts. I returned to New York that fall and became the nanny and personal menu helper for a family in Manhattan, caring for their three daughters (7, 9 and 12), as well as meal prep for their two sons (12 and 14). Care included picking up from various schools, taking to after school activities (Brownies, Hebrew School, sports activities, play dates), as well as homework help, and taking to various appointments, in addition to home and pet sitting when the family was traveling. In addition, from 2016 through 2021, I also was a volunteer foster cat provider for Bronx Tails, caring for sick and feral cats that were being treated and socialized for their forever adopted families. During this time I cared for over 2 dozen kittens with various degrees of illness, providing 24 hr medical care, vet visits and socialization.  Recommendations/referrals can be provided upon request.
